“The KMPlayer” is a freeware media player for your netbook that plays most of the media files that you will ever encounter. It uses its own internal codecs for playback, thus making it unnecessary to install codec packs like K-Lite (Mega) Codec Pack. It can also use external codecs if you have already installed, if need. It is a versatile media player which supports various types of container format too such as VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, Ogg Theora, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, RealMedia, and QuickTime among others.
The KMPlayer is very feature-rich, with features that are normally found in commercial media player such as playback filters (sharpening, denoise, color effects, hardware acceleration, software acceleration, etc), excellent subtitles support, capable of playing incomplete files, playing zipped files, bookmarking parts of videos, and others. It handles a wide range of subtitles and allows you to capture audio, video, and screenshots in many ways.
The player can also set many audio and video effects such as, slow down or increase playback speed with regular tone, do an exceptionally powerful A-B repeat, remap the keys of remote interface for HTPC including overlay screen controls, change a skin dynamically depending on a media type playing, and many more. It is completely customizable thanks to a wide choice of skins and color schemes, and the configuration options are extremely extensive.
If you just look at the number of features it is having, you will wonder how others can charge money for a product in the same class.
