Windows Hider: Hide Windows And Group Them For Better Privacy

Windows Hider is a small utility for netbook users which is designed to hide windows, programs, files, folders to the background without closing them instantly by one click or hotkey.

With Windows Hider you can divide your windows, programs, files, etc. by groups and rename each group by its properties. By grouping them, this utility provides a solution to your netbook’s cluttered Windows taskbar. Other than protecting your privacy by quickly hiding what was going on, it also helps you be more organized.

The installation process of the program is smooth. You can even use it from an USB drive, if you download the portable version of it.

The user interface of Windows Hider is simple and organized. Through the File menu, you can minimize the application to tray or exit it and using the Options menu you can change the different settings of the program.

The main window of the program is divided into two areas. The left side holds the currently opened windows, while the right side is split into four groups. The right side covers the hidden applications.

There are four groups that can hide active windows, you can rename the name of these groups from the Settings menu. The names of the groups are each displayed with a different color. The windows that are not hidden will always be colored, in black, by default. The colors corresponding to the groups are not customizable though.

Moving an active window from one side to another can be done using the “Add” and “Remove” buttons. An application can be assigned to one group only. To move an application from one group to another group requires you to first remove it from the invisible area and then add it to the group you want to. To make a group invisible, you can press the hotkey that you can configure from the Settings window.
